Import Regulations for TRNC

Importing a vehicle into the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) involves specific regulations that must be met. Below is a summary of the key requirements. Please note that these rules can change, and it is highly recommended to consult with a professional agent for the most up-to-date information.

Vehicle Age Limit: Generally, the imported vehicle must be under 5 years old from its first registration date. Exceptions may apply for new residents who have owned the vehicle for over 2-5 years. Commercial vehicles have a limit of 12 years.
Engine Size and Taxes: While there are no hard limits on engine size, it significantly affects the customs duties and taxes. Vehicles with larger engines incur higher fees. The costs can vary based on the car's value, origin, and engine capacity.
Steering Position: All imported vehicles must be right-hand drive, as traffic in the TRNC flows on the left side of the road. Left-hand drive vehicles are not permitted for import.
Residency Requirement: Importers must have a valid residency permit or a similar document to complete the import and registration process.
Documentation: A full set of original documents is required, including the vehicle's registration document (V5C), purchase invoice, and proof of residency.

KKTC'ye İthalat Yönetmelikleri

Motor Hacmi ve Vergiler: Motor hacmi için kesin bir üst sınır olmamakla birlikte, bu faktör gümrük vergilerini ve harçları önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. Daha büyük motorlu araçlar daha yüksek ücretlere tabidir. Maliyetler, aracın değeri, menşei ve motor kapasitesine göre değişebilir.
Direksiyon Konumu: KKTC'de trafik soldan aktığı için, ithal edilen tüm araçların direksiyonu sağda olmak zorundadır. Soldan direksiyonlu araçların ithalatına izin verilmemektedir.
İkamet Şartı: İthalatçılar, ithalat ve tescil sürecini tamamlamak için geçerli bir ikamet iznine veya benzeri bir belgeye sahip olmalıdır.
Gerekli Belgeler: Aracın tescil belgesi (V5C), satın alma faturası ve ikamet kanıtı dahil olmak üzere tüm orijinal belgelerin eksiksiz olması gerekmektedir.
